I rarely visit the same destination twice, but found Berlin to be an exception. I’ve visited Berlin three times now and have found that each visit reveals something fun and new to consume your time. The city is massive and you could easily spend a week exploring it.

Berlin Hotel and Hostel Tips

The Berlin metro system is awesome. Its easy to travel quickly and cheaply from one end of the city to another, so don’t worry much about choosing a cheap place that you feel may be “too far away”.

A Few Must-See Sights

First on your list to see should be the Brandenburg Gate, the Victory Column and the East Side Gallery section of the Berlin wall. They’re all free and make for excellent photos.

The Berlin Bunkers

If you want to visit the bunkers my advice is to get your tickets the day before. Research the tours and dates/times ahead of time and avoid disappointment. These tours are very popular tourist attractions and will almost certainly sell out day-of, especially in the busy season. Also note that not all bunker tours are the same, and not all of them run every day. Your best bet is to visit the Berlin Underworlds Association website to first research the tours. For the record, the bunker tours might be the coolest tours you do in all of Germany.
